PhD Student

I am currently a PhD student at the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics, University of Chicago.  I am interested in innovation, firm dynamics and growth; research that focuses on these topics utilising micro level data with advanced machine learning methods.

I have a BSc. in Physics from Bogazici University with a focus on computational methods and mathematical economics. I have experience with advanced machine learning methods, big data and parallel computing.

I am a musician who has been playing for over 10 years. I have an alternative rock band called 'somon'. We have a debut EP called 'olmayan insanlar' on all music platforms.
