Research Specialist

I am currently working as a Research Specialist at the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics, working with Prof. Ufuk Akcigit.  I am interested in innovation, firm dynamics and growth; research that focuses on these topics utilising micro level data with advanced machine learning methods.

I have a BSc. in Physics from Bogazici University with a focus on computational methods and mathematical economics. I have experience with advanced machine learning methods, handling big data and parallel computing.

I am a musician who has been playing for over 10 years. I have an alternative rock band called 'somon'. We have a debut EP called 'olmayan insanlar' on all music platforms and an album on the way for 2025.
